Many talented musicians express there anger through their songs. For some, this might not only be an effective way to release anger but it could be a lifelong love for music. Another important way to release anger is writing. For example writing songs, poetry or in a journal helps to express angry feelings that otherwise get bottled up inside. This feeling can be kept until tempers flare or until the stress of holding anger in causes emotional or even physical damage.

Even if you listen to "brutal" that will help if you like the genre. A lot of people find easy to release anger with punk and heavy metal. Type of music that helps

When you choose the music you want to listen to make sure it's something that's smooth, or something upbeat that you love and enjoy. Music can have a powerful impact on peoples moods and there feelings. Music can affect peoples peoples mood and thoughts. Music can help release anger because the main purpose of music is to entertain people. Music also helps because it distracts people from whatever are doing. Also music can help relax people which can get them to release that anger. The same art form that puts babies to sleep is the same one that can help release any anger, stress, and sadness.

What type of music is helpful?

As I keep doing my research I find a lot of information. I  found out that listening to the radio, mind-blowing heavy metal, or mellow music might ought to release pent-up emotions. In another website I research I learned that music has been proven to help the brain release certain chemicals. Also songs that are more upbeat versus neutral might be a more preferable choice for reducing anger. Music can be a way because music sometimes touches the souls of many people. Some people can find singing or dancing to a heavy metal type of rock music  helpful to release anger. Sometimes people can prefer soft, flowing instrumental type of music. However some people may prefer to make there own music, it can be  angry or relaxing or in a form that forms a release of anger. Sometimes concentrating on loud, long held note on a saxophone, banging on the keys of a piano, beating on a set of drums, or strumming a guitar can be helpful.

Angry Music Can Help

While doing this research i found out that angry music can help release stress, anger, make them feel better and help them concentrate better. I found three reasons.
Reason #1: When You listen to this type of music it makes your brain switch moods and it can make you feel happy, feel like dancing, or feel like doing something.
Reason #2: Sometimes if you get angry and you don't do something to get that anger out it can build up. Sometimes the music can make you move your feet, snap your fingers and clap your hands which helps release the anger because it distracts you.
Reason #3: Sometimes adults can be the ones that love angry music but teens and people in the 20's can also like it. Teens can sometimes prefer friends over parents and try to get there own independence. Which can sometimes get teens and parents mad. They might just want to listen to something the parents don't like and try to release that anger.

My research

In my research I've found out that sometimes listening to your favorite music can be a choice but that there's also music that is for you to release that anger. I've also found out that if you listen to your favorite type of music but a song that describes exactly how you feel or that it relates to you it will help out a lot. Background Info

When doing my research a question came to my head.
What is music? I found out that music is like an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
When did music start? Well in ancient Israel a thousand years before Christ, King David composed and sang hundreds of songs called psalms. A few of the songs are in the old testament in the book of Psalms.
But the music we know now, may have began in the 10th century with the Gregorian chants. These chants were  organized and detailed and were in small groups that sang distinctive parts.
Common rhythm notation began around the year 1200 and soon after, troubadours singing “folk” music starting to appear in parts of Europe. In the 14th century, sacred music was quite common but secular music had begun also. During the renaissance one of the most significant events occurred the birth of a composer. The appearance of composers spawned instrumental music and created instruments such as the piano and lute.

From the year 1750 to 1820 is considered the Classical period with the piano being a composer’s instrument of choice. During this time, Mozart wrote his first symphony, Bach performed in London, and Beethoven was born. Many of the symphonies we enjoy today were written during this time. 
By the year 1900, Scott Joplin had composed and published the “Maple Leaf Rag,” an event many see as the beginning of the music we know today as popular music.  
Soon new musical forms were taking hold. Jazz began around the 1930s (Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday), big band music in the 1940s (Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington). Also Rock-and-Roll (Elvis Presley, Chuck Barry) in the 1950s. Other countries like France and Spain were creating their own popular music during this time although their music was not as vibrant and as influential as the music happening in the U.S.

My English Research Project

In my English class we are doing a project and everyone got to choose a topic they wanted to research. I decided to do my research on Can listening to the music you like help release your anger? In this research project I have discovered a lot of stuff I didn't now before. 
How many of you often get mad? I know I do get mad often and I just don't know what to do to release all that anger. How many of you like to listen to music? For example I love to listen to music and I don 't think there's a day when I don't listen to music. If I'm bored, if I'm doing homework I'm listening to music. Is there something you really like to do that there's not a day you don't do it? In my research project I'm trying to find out if listening to the music you like help you release your anger. So far I have found out it does help release your anger.
